Description

• As a Platform Engineer, you will help us improve and maintain our highly scalable platform that serves up Unitary’s cutting-edge machine learning technology. • Your mission will be to ensure our platform can run smoothly with minimum downtime and maximum customer satisfaction. • You will achieve this by investigating issues when something goes wrong but also, more importantly, implementing proactive tools and procedures so that these issues do not happen again. • As you develop in the role, there may be options to specialise further into Platform, Site Reliability Engineering, or DevOps disciplines at a later date.

Requirements

• Have knowledge of provisioning, managing and scaling AWS infrastructure (including EKS, S3, IAM) • Are confident in developing robust CI/CD pipelines (e.g. Github Actions), and optimising DevOps procedures and processes • Have experience of troubleshooting containerised microservices (Docker, Kubernetes) and knowledge of how to configure and deploy them • Have worked with API services and production systems, including knowledge of maintaining service uptime and automated scaling • Have previously used tools and services for monitoring such as Prometheus, InfluxDB, Grafana, and Datadog • Are familiar with event-driven systems, ideally AWS SQS • Are experienced with Infrastructure as Code (e.g. Terraform) • Have experience writing production code in languages such as Go or Python • Have knowledge of how to automate training and deploying AI/ML models (MLOps)
