Description

• Linguistic Tester role to enhance user experiences for Odia speaking users. • Part-time position with hours varying based on project need and demand. • Test emerging technology projects such as apps, e-courses, and marketing materials. • Write and report relevant errors using bug tracking software. • Evaluate the quality of translation in Odia language within the given context. • Be a subject matter expert for linguistic issues in the target language. • Adhere to project specific quality standards, style guides, and checklists. • Troubleshoot basic computer problems and communicate effectively. • Complete assigned tasks in a quality and timely manner.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Odia language (Linguistic competency in target language equal to the following: ILR Level 5 or CEF C2). • Excellent written/verbal communication in English for bug reporting purposes. • Up-to-date awareness of current and common technical language usage in the target language. • Knowledge of common technological terms in English and the target language. • Strong practical knowledge of computers and mobile devices, Microsoft Office suite, and various browsers. • Basic knowledge of smartphones (iPhone or Android). • Localization QA experience is preferred. • Flexibility with varying working hours.
