Description

• Technical Vision and Leadership: Promote and advocate for the technical vision of the integrations team, applying best-practice engineering principles to guide decision-making. • Team Leadership and Development: Lead and mentor a small yet capable integrations team, fostering their professional growth and offering support as needed in daily technical decisions. • Engineering Process Management: Lead engineering processes aimed at delivering high-quality data integrations. • Code Reviews and Architectural Oversight: Review pull requests (PRs) and participate in architectural decisions alongside the team to maintain code quality and consistency. • Roadmap Development and Prioritization: Own the integrations roadmap, prioritizing new integration development based on strategic business goals, in collaboration with the Product team. • Integration Definition and Documentation: Review 3rd party API documentation and draft integration definitions to guide implementation efforts effectively. • Customer Engagement and Problem Resolution: Participate in customer calls, leveraging technical expertise to collaborate on high-risk, high-reward opportunities. • User Base Monitoring and Insights: Monitor and analyze patterns within the user base to identify and address potential issues or opportunities for improvement. • ETL Pipeline and Architecture Development: Work closely with the Integrations team and CTO to envision and develop ETL pipeline, low code architecture, and management of 3rd party integrations. • Collaboration with Product Team: Work closely with the Product team to build value our customers expect. • Technology Strategy and Scalability: Develop and implement a scalable technology strategy and architecture in partnership with the CTO. • Quality Assurance and Metrics: Maintain a high standard of feature quality within Whatagraph, ensuring that all developments are measured and validated with relevant data metrics.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in managing technical teams of 5+ people. • 5+ years of hands-on experience in an engineering role. • Previous experience in a SaaS business, preferably in MarTech or Data. • Strong technical background with a solid understanding of software engineering, including agile processes, release management, and version control. • Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to dissect complex technical problems into clear actionable steps. • Extensive knowledge of cloud platforms. • In-depth knowledge and experience with our stack (we use PHP / Laravel). • Experience and understanding of various RESTful APIs. • Experience with data warehouses and ETL architecture. • Leadership skills combined with a strategic mindset. • Fluency in the English language.
