📋 Description

• Perform advanced billing and collection activities • Act as a Lead IBC Assistant • Make collection calls, verify accuracy and completeness of claims • Contact insurance companies and collection agencies regarding expediting payments • Handle discounts, adjustments, and charge corrections • Perform collection follow-up duties on specific financial classifications such as commercial insurance, self-pay, Medicare, and Medicaid claims • Support customer service unit in answering billing and collection questions • Act as back-up support for Accounts Receivable staff during peak times, vacations, and illnesses

🎯 Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent high school certification or combination of education and/or experience • 3 years of billing or insurance experience • No specific certification/professional license is required for this position • Preferred: Post-Secondary Education (2 Years) • Skills: Collections Strategies, Communication, Computer Literacy, Confidential Data Handling, Medical Terminology, Office Equipment, Telephone System
