• Contributes to the definition of the strategy for the South Field Service Region. • Serves as the key partner for the relevant business leader in determining strategy for area of responsibility, aligning with wider strategy, and implementing actions as needed. • Translates strategy into business plans and establishes measurable targets. • Oversees the business planning and forecasting process for the area of responsibility and serves as the interface of the plant to Global Product Group Controller/Division Controller/Operational Manager and others. • Monitors progress and provides insight and analysis to support operational decision-making. • Identifies issues and advises management on action plans and operational strategies to resolve. • Identifies and communicates commercial and financial risks and opportunities from business propositions. • Manage work-in-process inventory, project job costing, oversee billing & revenue recognition process, lead past due receivable collections and customer disputes resolution. • Establishes and oversees processes and tools necessary to obtain transparent and reliable financial data and business information. • Ensures high quality of financial data and business information in line with defined standards and financial closing schedules. • Ensures transparency in financial reporting and disclosures. • Defines and implements internal controls regarding financial and non-financial operations. • Leads the monthly closing process (journal entries / account reconciliations / intercompany billing, etc). • Ensure controllership and consistency of accounting processes across the business.
• A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related fields (some consideration for an Associate's Degree in Finance/Accounting with significant relevant experience will also be acceptable) • 7+ years of experience in a Financial Position, ideally partnering with business leaders, driving and assisting in a mix of financial analyst and accounting responsibilities • Experience with ERP Systems required (SAP strongly preferred) • Outstanding attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to multitask • Driven, strong leadership, attention to detail, self-sufficient, and excellent customer service attitude • Candidates must already possess work authorization to work for ABB in the US.
