Description

• Perform engineering analysis and design for overhead transmission lines, including structure loading, conductor sag/tension, foundations, and line routing • Prepare construction packages including plan & profile drawings, structure selection, material specifications, and engineering calculations • Utilize industry‑standard software such as PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE, PLS-TOWER, and related tools • Support project lifecycle activities including scope development, cost estimating, scheduling, and field support • Ensure compliance with all applicable codes, standards, and guidelines (NESC, ASCE, company standards) • Coordinate with internal teams (siting/permitting, substation engineering, project management) and external stakeholders (contractors, vendors, regulatory bodies) • Provide engineering support during construction, including responding to RFIs and performing field verifications • Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to continuous improvement of design standards • Identify and mitigate site issues such as geotechnical conditions, access and environmental constraints and constructability challenges by providing timely technical support • Interact with customer’s internal engineers and technical experts on a day-to-day basis • Develop and maintain professional relationships with clients • Assists with the developing task and effort estimates for proposal support • Works to maintain positive working relationships with peers • Occasional travel required to other AECOM locations and Client sites • Able to participate in field walks and create field sketches, take dimensions, climb ladders, etc. as necessary

🎯 Exigences

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field + 2 years of relevant experience or a demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education. • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification • Understanding of transmission line design principles (loading criteria, structural analysis, conductor behavior, foundations). • Experience with CAD or engineering design tools; familiarity with PLS-CADD strongly preferred.
