Description

• Build and run the trade and partnership outbound engine • Define segments, pull and enrich lists, verify and score contacts, write and track sequences, and determine when outreach should be manual • Equip the field team for sampling, shop visits, and trade shows with target lists, routes, one-pagers, and follow-up sequences • Work alongside the field team to improve each campaign cycle • Own search and content, lifecycle email and SMS, subscription retention, and referral programs • Manage win-back, dunning recovery, pause-instead-of-cancel, and referral reconciliation activities • Produce in-house creative with AI tools while following the brand's existing visual system • Decide when to generate creative, composite real product photography, or involve a human • Automate recurring manual work such as enrichment scripts, list hygiene, report pulls, campaign QA, and content pipelines • Own first-party measurement covering order and subscription data, cohort retention, referral attribution, and search visibility • Identify inaccurate metrics before they affect decision-making • Direct Claude Code to connect APIs, enrich lists, and automate recurring work • Report directly to the two founders at manager level with no direct reports • Follow strict regulatory requirements: no health, cessation, or performance claims; maintain 18+ and UK territory gating; use no paid social or paid search for the product

🎯 Exigences

• Hands-on experience directing Claude Code or an equivalent coding agent on live work, connected to an API or MCP server, with something still in use today; tested directly in the interview process • 3+ years of hands-on marketing experience • Cold outbound experience from start to finish, including list building, sequence writing, reply-rate monitoring, deliverability troubleshooting, Apollo or equivalent, and at least one sequencer • Comfortable with CSV data • SQL skills or ability to learn/use SQL with assistance • Understanding of data joins and their effect on reporting accuracy • Working scripting ability in Python or JavaScript, or a track record of directing AI to write and debug scripts • Familiarity with APIs, authentication, keys, rate limits, webhooks, and technical documentation • Strong marketing judgment and ability to evaluate offers, identify broken pages, and write effective buyer-facing emails • Clear, specific, filler-free writing • Ability to work from Austin, Texas, or remotely with 9–5 Central Time overlap • Preferred familiarity with list/enrichment tools, sequencers, commerce/subscription backends, Postgres/SQL, transactional email, SEO tooling, workflow automation such as n8n, and AI image tools • Preferred background in regulated or high-constraint categories • Preferred DTC subscription or ecommerce experience, especially retention/win-back programs and referral mechanics
