Description

• Participate in system design decisions for complex features and subsystems • Propose approaches balancing performance, maintainability, scalability, and business needs • Identify opportunities to simplify scope, reduce code complexity, and eliminate technical debt • Mentor peers through code reviews, design collaboration, and knowledge sharing • Model engineering best practices and raise the technical bar across the team • Design and implement fundraising, compliance, and election readiness features • Develop and maintain third-party integrations • Deliver high-quality, maintainable code meeting performance, security, and scalability standards • Apply AI coding tools to accelerate complex work • Write clear specifications for AI-assisted development • Evaluate AI-generated code for correctness, security, and maintainability • Collaborate with product management and cross-functional engineering teams

🎯 Exigences

• Significant experience or a strong foundation in software engineering — typically 5 years • Solid understanding of web scalability challenges and solutions • Demonstrated willingness and ability to use AI coding tools • Ability to work independently on complex, less-defined problems and propose solutions • Experience mentoring peers and participating in architecture discussions • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities • 7+ years of software development experience, or equivalent skills (preferred) • Strong JavaScript skills, especially with ReactJS (preferred) • Proficiency in C# and ASP.NET (preferred) • Experience with SQL Server, including performance tuning or query optimization (preferred) • Experience in political software, campaign technology, or election readiness (preferred) • Hands-on experience with Azure, Redis, and ElasticSearch (preferred) • Experience with AWS cloud services (preferred) • Experience building or integrating AI/LLM-powered product features (preferred) • Experience with third-party API integrations (preferred) • Candidates must not require current or future sponsorship for employment authorization
