Description

• Own the architecture of the team's domain, including services, data flows, integration points, and failure modes • Design products and services for iterative autonomous development and future scaling • Lead modernization work around PHP monoliths and Java-to-TypeScript service replacements • Build understanding of adjacent systems including grading, marketplace, CRM, payments, identity, and data/ETL • Establish standards for security, testing, observability, and operational excellence • Lead adoption of AI-assisted engineering standards and guardrails across the technology organization • Identify AI-agent opportunities for legacy code comprehension, test generation, and migration scaffolding • Lead moderate-scope projects spanning one to two quarters • Coordinate engineers, stakeholders, and dependencies toward predictable delivery • Plan development using value-versus-cost prioritization • Identify and communicate blockers and delays • Foster knowledge sharing and documentation • Build relationships with teammates, managers, business stakeholders, and senior engineers • Mentor senior and mid-level engineers through design reviews, pairing, and feedback • Improve organizational AI fluency by sharing workflows, prompts, and agent configurations

🎯 Exigences

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience • Demonstrated technical leadership of multi-engineer, multi-quarter projects • Expert-level backend engineering in TypeScript/Node.js and/or Java • Ability to work across TypeScript, Java 21, PHP, Python, and C# • Hands-on production experience across React/Next.js frontends, API and service layers, relational data stores, and infrastructure • Experience modernizing legacy systems through strangler-fig migrations, service extraction, or platform re-architecture under live traffic • Deep PostgreSQL and MySQL expertise, including data modeling, migrations, and performance • Strong distributed-systems fundamentals, including REST, GraphQL, gRPC, SQS, idempotency, and failure handling • Production AWS expertise in ECS, Lambda, networking, and IAM • Infrastructure-as-code fluency with AWS CDK and/or Terraform • Experience raising engineering standards through testing, observability, documentation, and incident response • Hands-on daily fluency with AI coding assistants and agentic tools such as Claude Code, Copilot, or Cursor • Experience integrating AI tools into CI, code review, and documentation workflows • Mature judgment regarding verification, security, and limitations of AI-generated code • Excellent written and verbal communication with technical and business audiences • U.S. work authorization validated through e-Verify
