Description

• Preserve and improve the quality and validity of AP Program exams, course curricula, and professional development content • Lead item development and management from authoring through administration across multiple AP course titles • Train and collaborate with subject-matter experts, including college professors and secondary school teachers • Integrate AI technologies into assessment creation and review while supporting fairness, validity, and innovation • Train SMEs on assessment development protocols and translate between academics and psychometricians • Develop formative assessment materials and resources for AP Science/Life Science teachers worldwide • Serve as a point of contact for subject-matter expert committees and communities • Support the strategic growth of AP Science/Life Science globally • Lead assessment development and final approval of assessment items and forms • Lead authoring, revision, development, and management of formative and summative assessment content and scoring materials • Lead development of assessment forms aligned with approved curricula and test specifications • Lead face-to-face, weekend, and virtual Test Development Committee meetings • Train and directly supervise Test Development Committee members • Lead annual AP Reading scoring events and produce publications for teachers and students • Contribute to assessment research and best practices • Provide cross-subject assessment leadership, training, mentoring, and consultation • Improve item development task models, processes, exam design, and use of generative AI • Monitor exam validity, security, reliability, fairness, quality, and reader reliability • Lead initiatives to improve AP Biology and Environmental Science exams • Collaborate with psychometrics staff to establish fair, reliable, and valid cut scores • Refine AP Science/Life Science course frameworks and learning outcomes • Support new AP Biology and Environmental Science products, prototypes, market testing, and development models • Travel for business purposes and participate in AP Reading

🎯 Exigences

• Master’s degree in Biology, Environmental Science, or a directly related discipline (required) • Knowledge of current trends in the relevant discipline • Expertise in Biology or Environmental Science • At least 10 years of experience in standardized assessment development or related work • Experience with digital assessment and teaching preferred • Strong oral and written communication skills • Solid technical proficiency • Customer-focused mindset • Excellent organizational and planning skills • Ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain close attention to detail, including proofreading • Demonstrated ability to implement processes and procedures • Experience managing project plans and schedules and maintaining tracking documentation • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills • Ability to work effectively across all levels and give and receive constructive feedback • Ability to travel 6–8 times per year, plus up to two additional weeks for the AP Reading • Must be eligible and authorized to work in the United States • Curiosity and enthusiasm for emerging technologies • Willingness to experiment with and adopt AI-driven solutions • Comfort learning and applying new digital tools independently and proactively • Learner’s mindset and commitment to growth • Drive for impact and excellence • Collaborative and empathetic approach
