Description

• Lead hands-on design and delivery of applications and platforms across the Wisconsin Medicaid Market • Build and modernize software across front-end, back-end, database, integration, and hosting layers • Work across multiple insurance core administration platforms and supporting services • Set technical direction and align decisions with enterprise standards and long-term direction • Identify and address technical debt and reliability gaps • Support modernization from legacy implementations to modern patterns • Drive automation through CI/CD, infrastructure as code, and security as code • Adopt cloud-native patterns such as containers and orchestration where appropriate • Ensure solutions meet security, compliance, and HIPAA requirements • Improve scalability, supportability, monitoring, logging, alerting, and operational outcomes • Partner with IT leadership, enterprise architects, platform teams, and peers • Mentor engineers through design discussions and code reviews • Coach teammates on testing, CI/CD, observability, and responsible use of Humana-approved AI and code generation tools • Balance hands-on engineering with architecture decisions, alignment, and technical leadership

🎯 Exigences

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field • 5 or more years of experience designing, developing, and testing software applications and/or infrastructure • 2–5 years of hands-on experience with the Microsoft technology stack, including .NET, SQL Server, and Windows-based services • Experience developing and supporting cloud-based solutions, with a strong preference for Microsoft Azure • Deep experience building and modernizing full-stack applications across front-end, back-end, data, integrations, and hosting • Experience designing CI/CD pipelines and operational automation • Experience applying infrastructure as code and security as code practices • Working knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes/AKS • Ability to improve production supportability through monitoring, logging, alerting, and runbook-style documentation • Experience with root-cause analysis, automation, and resilient design • Experience modernizing legacy technologies and improving reliability, performance, and operational supportability • Comfort actively leveraging AI-assisted development and code generation tools • Strong aptitude and willingness to learn Humana-approved code generation tooling • Ability to understand interactions across multiple insurance core systems, platforms, and supporting services • Ability to work autonomously, collaborate across teams, influence through expertise, and remain hands-on while leading technical direction • Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences • Preferred: Master's Degree in Computer Science or related field • Preferred: Experience within healthcare industry or healthcare technology environments • Preferred: 2+ years of hands-on experience building responsive web applications with React • Ability to provide high-speed DSL or cable modem for a home office • Minimum internet speed of 25 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload • Satellite and wireless internet service is not allowed • Dedicated home workspace without ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI/HIPAA information
