🎯 Exigences

• Hands-on Senior Engineer with ownership of high-volume production data pipelines • Ability to detail past systems owned, including throughput volume, load patterns, performance bottlenecks, and structural optimizations • Production experience with messaging queues, pub/sub, or streams • Understanding of ordering, idempotency, retries, and dead-letter handling • Proactive risk management and accountability for operational health in production • Solid backend engineering experience with significant focus on data pipelines and infrastructure • Proficiency with TypeScript and Node.js across backend services and database stores • AI-native engineering experience using coding agents • Strong data-store skills at scale, including schema design, query optimisation, indexing, and partitioning • Experience with relational and analytical stores such as ClickHouse • Hands-on ownership of rate limits, schema drifts, backfills, and partial failures • Focus on pipeline observability, data freshness, and strict data quality standards • Ability to navigate ambiguity, establish technical clarity, and drive progress independently • Preference for incremental delivery based on real-world usage • Clear communication through concise PRs, technical docs, and async updates • Located in European timezones with core overlap with UK business hours • Nice to have: experience with GCP Pub/Sub, Kafka, or equivalent event-streaming technologies • Nice to have: familiarity with Temporal or other durable execution frameworks • Nice to have: hands-on work with third-party platform APIs, rate limits, and dynamic payloads • Nice to have: direct experience managing Discord, Reddit, or social media datasets • Nice to have: exposure to ingested data feeding downstream AI or search systems • Nice to have: background in high-growth startup environments • Nice to have: experience migrating live systems toward event-driven architectures without service interruption • Nice to have: impactful technical writing, open-source projects, or engineering documentation

🏖️ Avantages

• Highly competitive basic salary - full details shared at the initial interview stage • 25 days annual leave plus UK public holidays • Remote or hybrid working • Flexible working hours • Co-working space access, including Soho Works locations across London and the US • Stock option plan • Home office budget once you pass probation • Mental health support through Spill • Twice-yearly company meet-ups
