Malengo est une organisation à but non lucratif qui facilite la migration éducative internationale en aidant des étudiants compétents issus de milieux défavorisés et des réfugiés à accéder à l'enseignement supérieur et à la formation professionnelle à l'étranger. Elle fournit un soutien financier (bourses d'études), du mentorat, du renforcement communautaire et la gestion de programmes pour des initiatives telles que les programmes Ouganda-Allemagne et Kenya-Allemagne, et mène des recherches et des analyses d'impact sur les résultats de la migration et de l'éducation.

Description

• Approximately 85% of your working time will be spent on ongoing financial accounting: precise, compliant and well-structured • Complete day-to-day accounting: recording, categorizing and reconciling all business transactions in accordance with the German Commercial Code (HGB) • Account and bank reconciliations — reliable and timely • Accounts payable and receivable: processing incoming and outgoing invoices and payments • Preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and financial reports • Preparation for the annual financial statements and collaboration with external tax advisors and auditors • Ensuring compliance with tax regulations, in particular VAT returns • Support with payroll accounting and related HR administrative tasks • Maintaining an audit-proof and structured document filing system • Supporting the Head of Finance with financial planning, budgeting and ad-hoc analyses • Assisting with financial management and tracking of our growing ISA portfolio • Contributing to operational and administrative finance tasks as the organization grows • Contributing to the development and optimization of our financial processes

🎯 Exigences

• Completed vocational training or degree in a commercial field, e.g., Accountant, Financial Accountant, Tax Clerk, Business Administrator, Business Administration (BWL), or equivalent commercial qualification • At least 2 years of full-time professional experience in accounting (or equivalent) • Solid knowledge of German accounting standards (HGB) and tax regulations • Experience with VAT returns and preparation of annual financial statements • Confident user of accounting software (e.g., DATEV, Lexoffice, Sevdesk or similar) • Very good skills in spreadsheets (Excel / Google Sheets) • German at native level (C2) and English at least B2 level • High level of care, accuracy and a structured working style • Ability to work independently and manage priorities responsibly • Identification with Malengo's goals and the success of our scholarship recipients
