Description

• Design, develop, and maintain complex software systems • Write high-quality code for complex scenarios with good test coverage • Review and translate product requirements into robust designs • Design distributed application systems that are modular, configurable, reusable, fast, effective, user-friendly, secure, compliant, scalable, and maintainable • Lead design and code reviews of multiple applications • Ensure adherence to best practices and Mercury standards • Lead sprint teams to deliver new or improved features • Address impediments to delivering high-quality solutions in the sprint backlog • Collaborate with other teams and stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of intended functionality • Mentor and provide technical guidance to other engineers • Foster a culture of innovation and excellence within Mercury engineering

🎯 Exigences

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or other related fields OR equivalent combination of education and experience • 5+ years software programming experience • 2+ years experience in technologies used at Mercury • More than 1 year experience leading and mentoring engineering teams • Proficiency in one or more industry-standard programming languages, such as Java, Python, Go, C++, or JavaScript • Experience with data structures, algorithms, and design patterns • Experience with relational databases, NoSQL, and caching solutions • Experience with REST and gRPC APIs • Proficiency in message queuing, data streaming, workflow, and integration frameworks • Knowledge of microservices architecture • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes • Proficiency in DevSecOps • Experience designing and implementing distributed application systems • Experience leveraging analytics data and experimentation • Strong problem-solving skills • Excellent communication abilities • Ability to collaborate with and influence cross-functional teams and stakeholders • Demonstrated leadership skills through mentoring and providing technical guidance • Experience driving technical strategy and vision for a team • Preferred: Master’s Degree in Computer Science • Preferred: 5 or more years of backend development experience with Java and Python • Preferred: 5 or more years of experience with AWS technologies such as Lambda, CloudWatch, and S3 • Preferred: 3 or more years of experience with Cassandra, DynamoDB, or MongoDB • Preferred: Exposure to Contact Center technologies such as Amazon Connect • Preferred: Experience with AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure
