Description

• Build, maintain, and scale backend services and Kafka-based streaming pipelines processing user behavior data across AWS infrastructure • Design microservices and APIs exposing user segments and behavioral models to classic UI and agentic surfaces • Turn behavioral signals into segments and models for the broader platform • Use and evaluate AI coding assistants and agents, including code generation, review, production troubleshooting, and team adoption • Participate in architectural discussions and determine approaches for moderately scoped problems • Build, deploy, roll back, and operate software, including on-call participation • Automate manual operational processes with tooling to improve resilience and operability • Provide constructive, service-level-aware feedback and participate in engineering communities of practice

🎯 Exigences

• Fully proficient with Java, including designing, developing, testing, and deploying small-to-medium features and bug fixes end-to-end with little or no assistance • Experience building Kafka-based streaming pipelines and services in an AWS production environment • Experience with distributed systems, concurrency, scaling, and asynchronous programming techniques • Active experience using AI coding assistants and agents in the day-to-day engineering workflow • Collaborative work style with shared code ownership • Ability to navigate ambiguity with an iterative mindset and align work with strategic and architectural direction • Proficiency in English • Visa sponsorship is not available • Criminal background check required • Must verify identity and eligibility to work • May be required to pass an export compliance assessment • Bonus: Experience designing GraphQL APIs or microservices architectures at scale • Bonus: Familiarity with Kubernetes concepts and production behavior • Bonus: Experience with distributed data processing, cloud data platforms, or ETL/orchestration tools • Bonus: Understanding of data modeling principles • Bonus: Experience evaluating, benchmarking, or building agentic AI tools, prompt workflows, or developer automation • Bonus: Exposure to recommendation systems or agentic/LLM-based experiences • Bonus: Open source contributions or build/test automation experience • Bonus: SQL performance tuning or data visualization tools such as Tableau or Looker
