Description

• Under general direction of the Vice President Infrastructure & Info Security, the Systems Engineer will play a key role in the design, implementation, monitoring, reporting and maintenance of a secure infrastructure. • The Systems Engineer will maintain and monitor reliability, performance, and security of the Credit Union’s computer systems and networking equipment to ensure corporate productivity. • Maintains the security and availability of the systems that are used to serve the member. • Evaluates new technology that can be used to provide increased efficiency, productivity or achieve compliance for the organization. • The Systems Engineer is a subject matter expert who will also provide in-depth technical direction and mentorship to the IT team in order to expand their knowledge and expertise on infrastructure technology and troubleshooting. • Manages the daily performance and security of the Microsoft environment: Active Directory management, Domain Controllers, Distributed File Systems, Group Policy Administration, Web Services. • Troubleshoots and resolves technical issues. • Designs/Plans for expansion or enhancement of network infrastructure. • Manages email systems: Assists with planning, testing, tuning, configuring, and setup of email architecture. • Develops maintenance schedules and reports on system performance. • Manages the physical and virtual server environment: Configures, installs, and maintains virtualization hardware and software systems. • Administers vulnerability assessments, patch management, and user permissions. • Ensures disaster recovery and business continuity are maintained.

🎯 Exigences

• 5 to 7 years progressively responsible experience in IT field • 5 years VMWare Server virtualization Admin • Excellent knowledge of TCP/IP protocols, network and network security. • Extensive knowledge of Windows operating systems and environments. • Exceptional interpersonal skills, with a focus on listening and questioning skills. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Excellent diagnosis and troubleshooting skills. • 7 to 10+ years' experience in Windows Server and Exchange management (preferred) • 3+ years' experience in public and private cloud management (preferred) • Intermediate to Advanced Powershell scripting knowledge (preferred) • Microsoft MCSE, CCNA, Storage Certifications, or VCP (preferred)
