Description

• Own edge networking configuration, including routing, WAF policy, rate limiting, and certificate management • Build toward a model where engineers can make traffic changes independently • Set practices and technical standards across the SDLC, AI tooling, static analysis, chaos engineering, and simulation • Evolve the ingress layer, including controllers, lifecycle, policy, and the Ingress API • Manage DNS across internal clusters and external zones • Build network-layer observability for latency, error rates, and routing • Extend networking into new regions as Persona expands globally • Learn the full traffic path from Cloudflare through ingress controllers, DNS, and stack networking • Ship an ingress-layer change from design to production and strengthen pre-release testing • Recommend the Istio and multicluster gateway boundary • Identify and improve network-layer observability

🎯 Exigences

• An AI-native approach to building and shipping production services • Experience diagnosing production issues at the network layer, including tracing problems through proxies and load balancers to their real source • Hands-on experience managing infrastructure as code • Hands-on networking experience in at least a few areas such as DNS, WAF, service mesh, Kubernetes ingress controllers, and network policies • Cloudflare experience is a nice to have • Istio or another service mesh in a multi-cluster environment is a nice to have • GKE or another managed Kubernetes platform at scale is a nice to have • Ruby or Rails experience is a nice to have • Experience prototyping new ideas and ways of working is a nice to have
