• Oversee service delivery in Regions 7 and 8, ensuring equitable distribution of PITC RSN funds and resources throughout assigned counties • Deliver PITC training and technical assistance to center-based programs, family child care programs, and family, friend, and neighbor providers • Monitor the quality of PITC RSN services in the regions • Document and analyze service delivery activities and submit required reports • Supervise and mentor Infant/Toddler Specialists through twice-annual observations, feedback, service evaluation reviews, regional meetings, monthly check-ins, and professional development support • Contribute to statewide communication, outreach, marketing, resource development, and continuous improvement of the PITC RSN service delivery model • Communicate with the PITC RSN team regarding service priorities, timelines, staffing, and resource development • Lead regional outreach for Family Child Care, Family Friend and Neighbor, and center-based providers • Coordinate training and technical assistance with Quality Counts California and other California Department of Social Services quality improvement projects • Recruit participants for the PITC Trainer Institute • Present at conferences and staff the PITC exhibit as requested • Attend and contribute to regional, area, and statewide stakeholder meetings • Develop proposals to expand PITC work across California • Manage Fee-For-Service requests with PITC RSN Managers • Develop and conduct sessions at annual PITC RSN Advanced Training and other statewide professional development events • Participate in professional development to maintain current infant/toddler care and development expertise
• Advanced degree in child development, early childhood education, or a related field plus experience in infant/toddler program implementation • Full certification in the Program for Infant/Toddler Care (PITC) required • Bi-lingual English/Spanish or English/Chinese preferred • Applicant must reside in one of the counties within Region 7 or 8: Fresno, Kings, Madera, Tulare, Kern, San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara, or Ventura • Knowledge of California early care and education policies, research, and trends, including California's Quality Improvement System (QIS) • Minimum three years’ experience providing training, mentoring and coaching to early childhood programs • Excellent written and oral (including public speaking) communication skills • Demonstrated leadership and supervisory skills, including experience managing remote staff • Ability to balance multiple tasks and priorities; flexibility in adapting to changing scopes of work and funding structures • High level of self-awareness and commitment to one’s own professional growth and continuous learning • Ability to work well both independently and under direction • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information • Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing policies that foster equity • Computer skills in Microsoft WORD, PowerPoint, EXCEL, project management software, and electronic filing systems (BOX) • Ability to regularly travel throughout the regions as well as periodic non-local travel to statewide meetings and conferences required • Visa sponsorship is not available; successful candidates must be authorized to work in the United States • Successful candidates must pass a criminal background check and education verification
