Description

• Partner with the divisional SVP, Regional Directors, Area Directors, and volunteer committees to expand private philanthropic support • Drive development, management, and successful funding of the division’s campaign vision • Independently manage a major gift portfolio of approximately 125 prospects • Identify, connect with, ask, and steward major gift prospects • Develop a yearly personal spiritual growth plan • Align Young Life work with its Values and Methods • Partner with the divisional SVP on strategic fundraising • Oversee campaign planning and execution, including timelines, donor events, communications, and stewardship • Oversee creation and maintenance of the campaign Case for Support, including current and legacy giving options • Provide strategic counsel to regional and area directors on local campaigns • Plan travel and donor appointments for discovery, qualification, and major gift asks • Coordinate current and planned giving structures with the Executive Director of YL Foundation and partners • Partner with volunteer Executive Campaign Committees and their Chairs • Establish feedback loops and deliver impact reports to communicate investment outcomes and campaign milestones • Maintain CRM data integrity and immediately log visits, calls, and next-step strategies • Design and implement timely donor stewardship and recognition programs

🎯 Exigences

• Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in a job-related major field of study • 5+ years of fundraising experience with a proven track record of managing a portfolio and closing major gifts ($50k+) • Minimum 10 years of relevant professional experience • Minimum 3 years of direct or indirect management experience overseeing, coaching, and inspiring staff teams or high-level volunteer committees • Proven ability to understand, embody, and articulate Young Life’s ministry and mission • Exceptional communication and relational skills with donors, alumni, executives, and volunteers • Ability to communicate Young Life’s mission and adapt it to meet today’s kids’ needs • Proven proactive execution and strict deadline management • Ability to research prospects, build presentation materials, and manage campaign budgets accurately • Experience using CRM databases to track metrics and drive strategic decisions • Commitment to donor confidentiality and spiritual integrity • Must profess belief in Jesus Christ as personal Savior and Lord and subscribe to Young Life’s Statement of Faith • Must be ready, willing, and able to fulfill required ministry functions and abide by Young Life policies and practices • Willingness and ability to travel across the division • Preferred to reside within the specific assigned division
