📋 Description

• Mark submitted evidence using a defined assessment plan and grading criteria • Award marks using a defined assessment plan and marking criteria • Make sound judgements about apprentices’ knowledge and competence • Provide robust feedback to apprentices and determine an overall grade • Attend standardisation meetings twice annually • Work collaboratively as part of the 1st For Awarding assessment team • Maintain professional development and record a minimum of 30 hours of CPD each year • Uphold 1st For Awarding’s organisational values, Code of Conduct and Ofqual’s “do no harm” principle • Comply with safeguarding policies and procedures • Complete mandatory Preventing Radicalisation and Safeguarding training and required refresher training

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience working in the sector • Solid experience at occupational Level 3 or above within the last three years, or substantial proven occupational expertise • Highly organised • Reliable and trustworthy • Able to plan own schedule and commit to agreed times and bookings • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Able to attend two standardisation activities per year • Experience as an End Point Assessor, Independent Assessor, coach or tutor (desirable) • Grading experience (desirable) • Good understanding of apprenticeship standards and EPA (desirable) • EPA Assessor qualifications such as CAVA, TAQA, Award in Undertaking EPA or A1 (desirable) • Computer, webcam and strong internet connection • Personalised cover letter required for application
