📋 Description

• Lead architecture and technical strategy for large Azure programs and portfolios • Define modernization blueprints, reference architectures, system designs, patterns, and standards across applications, platforms, and data • Translate business and product strategy into cloud architecture roadmaps and execution plans • Guide major architecture decisions, resolve high-impact technical trade-offs, and align cross-team integrations • Provide architectural oversight through design reviews, governance, and delivery forums • Promote modular design, testability, CI/CD, observability, security, resilience, availability, compliance, and cost alignment • Use AI tools to accelerate discovery, design, coding, testing, documentation, and analysis • Own architectural standards for lakehouse, streaming, and AI-enabled data platforms • Guide large-scale, multi-region Databricks implementations • Lead executive and senior stakeholder conversations on modernization, platform strategy, AI adoption, and roadmaps • Set discovery strategy and connect program objectives to traceable backlogs and business outcomes • Run architecture reviews and steering committees with documented decisions and next steps • Define architecture, discovery, and delivery frameworks for predictable multi-team delivery across time zones • Track risks, technical debt, quality trends, and architectural drift • Support opportunity qualification, estimating, proposals, and strategic pursuits • Mentor Senior Architects, Delivery Architects, and senior engineers • Create reference implementations, architecture decision records, playbooks, and mentoring guides • Support hiring, calibration, interviews, promotion reviews, and talent development • Build an inclusive culture of psychological safety, feedback, and continuous improvement • Identify account growth opportunities and drive sales pursuits as Pursuit Lead or Technical Solution Lead • Define reusable architectures, modernization playbooks, landing zone templates, workshops, accelerators, and starter repositories • Champion responsible adoption of cloud capabilities, automation, modern frameworks, and AI-assisted tools • Contribute to cross-practice initiatives and enablement programs

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Analytics, or related field • 12+ years of experience delivering enterprise-scale solutions in application development, cloud platform engineering, DevOps, or data and analytics • 7+ years of experience in solution architecture and leading development or engineering teams, including multi-team or multi-workstream efforts at program scale • 10+ years of experience in analytics, data platforms, or enterprise architecture • Advanced SQL and PySpark; strong understanding of distributed data processing systems • Experience in business process design and optimization, especially related to data and technology • Proven experience leading architecture and delivery for Azure-based modernization, transformation, AI, or platform programs at enterprise scale • Experience defining solution and platform architectures connecting business strategy with scalable technical design and measurable outcomes • Experience leading hybrid and remote teams across time zones • Deep understanding of core concepts, languages, frameworks, and design patterns in a primary domain • Experience designing and integrating quality, automation, observability, and automated testing practices at scale • Experience using AI-augmented development and integrating AI and machine learning capabilities • Significant experience in Agile or Scrum environments at scale • Proven success in consulting or professional services, including client-facing leadership and executive engagement • Familiarity with relevant Azure services, including messaging, compute, data, security, networking, management, and integration services • Strong analytical, problem-solving, presentation, written, and verbal communication skills • Commitment to continuous learning in cloud, data, and AI • Ability to foster culture, inclusion, and community participation • Relevant cloud architecture certifications are strongly preferred • Preferred: Generative AI and agentic systems, RAG, prompt engineering, Prompt Flow, Semantic Kernel, AutoGen, MLOps, model lifecycle management, CI/CD, deployment, monitoring, retraining, model governance, and compliance • Applicants must not require work visa sponsorship
