📋 Description

• Lead threat modeling and security design discussions with platform and product teams • Translate risks into engineering actions and use AI to stress-test designs against attack scenarios • Review security architecture for new product features, including data exposure, access control, and abuse-case risk • Build scalable preventative controls in AWS using Infrastructure-as-Code and AI coding agents • Evaluate and improve commercial, cloud-native, and AI-assisted security tooling • Mentor engineers on effective use of AI for security engineering • Prototype and productionize automation for signal correlation, alert enrichment, and auto-remediation • Architect, build, and validate integrations between AWS and security tooling such as SIEM, SOAR, and IAM platforms • Contribute hands-on during security incidents, using AI to accelerate log and telemetry triage • Build and maintain reusable AI-assisted security playbooks for IaC review, detection authoring, and alert triage • Partner with platform engineering, product engineering, infrastructure, DevOps, and IT teams as a technical liaison

🎯 Requirements

• Proven delivery in security engineering or infrastructure security roles, ideally in cloud-native environments • Deep comprehension of AWS architecture and identity/access patterns, including IAM, STS, cross-account roles and resource policies, VPC and network segmentation, and KMS • Working knowledge of Azure and GCP • Strong scripting and development fundamentals in Python and/or Go • Proficiency with Git, Linux, and infrastructure automation patterns • Demonstrated fluency directing AI coding/agent tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, or Copilot • Expertise integrating or building tooling for SIEM, SOAR, vulnerability management, and CSPM platforms • Experience deploying security controls via Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform or CloudFormation, primarily in AWS • Ability to investigate logs, trace events, and contribute to incident analysis workflows • Ability to influence and collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, infrastructure, product, and IT teams • Strong written communication and documentation skills • Background using and securing Kubernetes, including workload security and service mesh controls
