• Drive sales, develop business, and address customer needs within an assigned long-term care territory • Build and maintain relationships with physicians, NP/PAs, pharmacists, nursing facility leadership, and LTC care teams • Promote Acadia products through compliant clinical, disease-state, and reimbursement education • Address customer questions, concerns, and objections using advanced selling skills • Analyze customer, practice, and local/regional market trends for business planning • Create and execute quarterly territory business/action plans using data and budget • Provide guidance on pricing, reimbursement, profitability, and access-related questions • Collaborate with sales management, territory teammates, and cross-functional partners • Represent Acadia at conferences, exhibits, product launches, and training sessions • Mentor and train new or junior Sales Specialists and contribute to cross-functional projects • Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements, company policies, and LTC regulations
• Bachelor’s degree required; life sciences preferred • Sales Specialist: minimum 1–2 years of pharmaceutical/healthcare sales experience; neuroscience preferred • Advanced selling and negotiation skills • Ability to influence diverse healthcare professional audiences • Proven leadership, mentorship, and regional role-model capabilities • Strong business acumen, organization, self-motivation, and business ownership mentality • Must reside within the territory or within 30 miles of its border • Must be within reasonable proximity to a major airport if required • Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record • Ability to drive a company vehicle daily and travel independently by air • Ability to travel up to 80%, including overnight stays and occasional after-hours work • Must meet vaccination and facility access requirements • In-depth knowledge of neuroscience, LTC market dynamics, Part A and Part D payer systems, specialty distribution, and applicable LTC regulations • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and virtual engagement platforms such as Zoom and WebEx
