📋 Description

• Manage daily departmental performance, resources, task prioritization, and metrics • Oversee the team's day-to-day workload • Hire, coach, train, develop, and performance-manage direct reports • Serve as an escalation and strategic contact for the department • Lead or participate in cross-functional process improvement initiatives • Develop and deliver onboarding and continuing education plans and materials • Provide coaching, mentorship, performance feedback, and career development plans • Partner with HR on talent management, performance, employee relations, and development activities • Investigate clinical trial protocol testing requirements and determine appropriate testing facilities • Review and prepare pricing documents and correct discrepancies • Maintain relationships with ACM and referral laboratories • Provide scientific and technical information for client RFPs and RFIs • Coordinate testing methods with referral laboratories • Obtain and document referred testing information and support referral-laboratory contracting throughout active trials • Channel information between Laboratory Operations and Sales • Escalate study, testing, and referral-laboratory issues; assist with root cause analysis • Improve work methods, efficiency, cost reduction, and operational problem-solving • Liaise with internal and external partners and participate in client teleconferences • Provide consultation and subject-matter expertise to clinical-trials operations and external clients • Update global SOPs and maintain templates and tools • Triage upcoming work and determine staffing capabilities and workloads • Perform other assigned duties

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific discipline or a minimum of 3 years of experience as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist • Minimum of 5 years of laboratory experience in a clinical setting, or a relevant regulated environment • Strong interpersonal and communication skills • Strong time management and organizational skills • Ability to manage multiple projects with tight deadlines • Ability to work independently and in a team setting • Proficient in Microsoft Office • Generalist laboratory experience • Ability to lead and positively motivate others • Models a positive and solutions-oriented mindset • MT (ASCP) Certification – Preferred • Schedule availability: Days, Monday–Friday • Ability to respect patient confidentiality and follow company policies and procedures
