📋 Description

• Manage daily departmental performance, resources, task prioritization, and performance metrics • Oversee the team’s day-to-day workload • Hire, coach, train, develop, and performance-manage direct reports • Serve as an escalation point and strategic contact for the department • Lead or participate in cross-functional process improvement initiatives • Develop and deliver training plans and materials • Provide coaching, mentorship, performance feedback, and career development support • Partner with HR on talent management, performance, employee relations, and development activities • Investigate clinical-trial testing requirements and determine appropriate testing facilities • Review and prepare pricing documents and correct discrepancies • Maintain relationships with ACM and referral laboratories • Provide scientific and technical information for client RFPs and RFIs • Coordinate testing methods and document referred testing information throughout active trials • Channel information between Laboratory Operations and Sales • Escalate study, testing, and referral-laboratory issues; assist with root-cause analysis • Liaise with internal and external partners and participate in client teleconferences • Consult with clinical-trial operations and external clients • Update global SOPs, templates, and tools • Triage upcoming work and determine staffing capabilities and workload • Serve as a subject-matter expert and escalation point for internal and external clients • Perform other assigned duties

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant scientific discipline or a minimum of 3 years of experience as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist • Minimum of 5 years of laboratory experience in a clinical setting, or a relevant regulated environment • Strong interpersonal and communication skills • Strong time management and organizational skills • Ability to manage multiple projects with tight deadlines • Ability to work independently and in a team setting • Proficient in Microsoft Office • Generalist laboratory experience • Ability to lead and positively motivate others • Models a positive and solutions-oriented mindset • MT (ASCP) Certification – Preferred • Ability to work Monday–Friday, days, 37.5 hours per week • Sedentary, primarily office-based work requiring prolonged sitting and computer use • Must follow company policies and procedures and respect patient confidentiality
