📋 Description

• Design, build, and optimize Addepar’s next-generation Research Platform • Work across the stack with Python, Databricks, Java, and web technologies • Take projects through the full software lifecycle, including design, architecture, prototyping, development, release, iteration, and monitoring • Build new systems and improve existing systems, from small fixes to large projects • Work on enterprise risk calculation engines and private fund analytics and benchmarking tools • Partner with financial researchers and product managers to shape the platform’s direction • Share knowledge through design reviews, code reviews, and mentoring • Lead key architectural work and help build resilient, high-throughput systems

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience • Strong experience with Python or Java • Experience designing and operating production systems • Clear communication with both technical and non-technical collaborators • Applicants in the US must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without current or future visa sponsorship • Applicants must be authorized to begin work in the U.S. on their first day of employment • Helpful but not required: experience with Databricks, Spark, or other large-scale data processing • Helpful but not required: experience with web application development • Helpful but not required: experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, or other cloud platforms • Helpful but not required: familiarity with financial data, risk analytics, or investment concepts
