📋 Description

• Build and lead the Bank strategic finance team, providing strategic direction, recruitment, and coaching as we establish the function. • Lead the end-to-end forecasting and budget process, ensuring alignment with organizational goals during this critical startup phase. Perform rigorous financial analysis to inform strategic decision-making. • Develop and maintain complex financial models to support strategic planning, scenario analysis, and forecasting for the Bank. • Oversee capital stress testing and ongoing monitoring. Partner cross-functionally to validate inputs, pressure-test key drivers, and ensure outputs reflect current business dynamics. • Monitor performance against forecasts, diagnose variances, identify root causes, and provide forward-looking insights to drive action. • Provide decision support on strategic initiatives, evaluating trade-offs and P&L implications. Translate complex analyses into clear, executive-ready narratives that drive insight, inform strategy, and align stakeholders. • Partner closely with Affirm, Inc. cross-functional teams to integrate financial workflows.

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum 8+ years relevant experience in analytical roles (e.g., strategic finance, consulting, data science, or analytics), with demonstrated impact on business outcomes • Minimum 5 years of people management experience • Proven ability to operate with ownership and influence in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment, with strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills • Strong business judgment, with the ability to connect detailed analyses to broader strategic context and executive-level decisions • Experience partnering with senior stakeholders and influencing decisions across cross-functional teams • Financial modeling proficiency; working knowledge of modeling tools and experience with data visualization tools preferred • Familiarity with fintech, lending and payments business model preferred
