📋 Description

• Overseeing the SuperNet Services Contract and related contracts ensuring reliable broadband service delivery to over 3,300 locations across Alberta’s Government, Learning, Health, Library, and Municipal (GLHLM) sectors • Monitoring and enforcing compliance with SuperNet service levels, addressing variances and managing change orders as needed • Supporting the Director in developing and tracking annual operating budgets and strategic plans for broadband services • Leading the implementation of new SuperNet services and infrastructure projects, ensuring alignment with Technology Support Operations (TSO) standards • Developing and managing performance reporting tools, including a SuperNet balanced scorecard • Contributing to business case development and policy recommendations related to SuperNet operations • Supervising internal staff and external contractors to ensure efficient service delivery and project execution • Representing the GoA at the ISP Council, advocating for ISP needs and fostering collaborative relationships • Providing project management support across the full lifecycle, including RFI, RFP, and contract development

🎯 Requirements

• A university degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or a related discipline • A minimum of 4 years of relevant technical and managerial experience, including delivering and supporting ICT services with an emphasis on vendor management and contract management ensuring effective partnerships and service performance • Strong leadership and management experience within complex and diverse IT environments • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to draft clear and concise briefing notes and other executive-level documentation • Demonstrated experience managing substantial human and financial resources, with a focus on innovation and achieving efficient, high-impact results • Comprehensive planning and leadership capabilities, coupled with in-depth knowledge and experience in IT service delivery environments • Familiarity with AI-driven technologies and their application in modern IT environments • Proven experience with security management policies, procedures, and best practices • Proven experience leading large-scale IT projects, with a solid understanding of project management methodologies such as Waterfall and Agile.
