📋 Description

• Assess a wide range of lift, crane, lifting, material handling, and construction plant installations • Inspect plant and equipment, including lifts, material handling equipment, cranes, and construction plant • Anticipate clients’ needs and help them comply with relevant legislation • Work closely with the Engineer Surveyor Team under a Senior Operations Team Leader • Prepare examination reports following inspections using electronic reporting • Organise meetings, visits, and work allocation through effective planning and diary management • Travel within the allocated local work area • Process inspection documentation and complete general administration • Support and deputise for fellow Engineer Surveyors when required • Perform physically demanding work, including working at height, in confined spaces, lifting, and climbing in hot and cold conditions

🎯 Requirements

• Experienced engineer with good knowledge of the Lift and Crane discipline • Up to date knowledge and understanding of all relevant compliance and regulatory rules and procedures relating to the Lift and Crane discipline • Minimum qualification in Mechanical Engineering at level 4 (UK) or level 6 (Ireland), i.e. HND/HNC/Full Technological Certificate; candidates may be working towards this qualification • Background working with lifts, cranes, materials handling equipment, with hands-on experience in manufacturing, repair, or maintenance • Strong customer interaction skills • Good oral and written communication skills • Full valid Irish/EU/UK driving licence • Time management skills and ability to independently organise weekly work • Comfortable using tablets and smartphones • Ability to travel effectively within the local allocated work area • Ability to process documentation and undertake general administration in a timely manner • Willingness to support and deputise for fellow Engineer Surveyors when required • Incorporated Engineer (desirable) • Understanding of Responsible AI principles (desirable)
