📋 Description

• Contribute to the design and assessment of project frameworks, ensuring technical and commercial viability of early-stage opportunities. • Identify, evaluate, and prioritize a pipeline of distributed renewable energy projects across Africa. • Lead early-stage project screening, feasibility assessments, and technical due diligence for potential investments. • Support transaction readiness by coordinating technical inputs, risk assessments, and partnership development. • Help establish internal systems and best practices for project origination, diligence, and pre-investment decision-making

🎯 Requirements

• Proven track record in developing DRE or off-grid renewable projects in African markets. • Strong understanding of project lifecycle management -from origination through development and financial close. • Experience working with funds, developers, or infrastructure platforms focused on renewable energy. • Proficiency in project structuring, technical due diligence, and financial modeling for DRE projects. • Familiarity with mini-grid, hybrid, and solar-plus-storage solutions. • Knowledge of African regulatory and permitting environments for renewable project • Strategic thinker with an entrepreneurial approach and ability to operate in a start-up or pre-launch context. • Excellent stakeholder management and cross-cultural communication skills. • Collaborative mindset with a hands-on approach to problem-solving. • Comfortable working autonomously while building early-stage frameworks and systems. • Ability to manage parallel project evaluations and interface with technical, financial, and legal partners.
