📋 Description

• Review project specifications, drawings, and tender documents. • Prepare accurate cost estimates and competitive proposals for fire alarm and fire suppression systems. • Carry out site surveys and perform material take-offs and labour calculations. • Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors. • Analyse project risks, costs, and scheduling requirements. • Support project managers during project handover and execution. • Design fire alarm and suppression systems in accordance with applicable codes and standards. • Produce detailed system layouts and installation drawings using AutoCAD. • Prepare equipment schedules and technical submissions. • Coordinate system designs with architects, consultants, engineers, and contractors. • Review and revise drawings based on client comments and site conditions. • Provide engineering support during installation, testing, and commissioning.

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of proven experience in estimating and designing fire alarm and fire suppression systems. • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Fire Protection Engineering, or a related discipline. • Proficiency in AutoCAD for preparing detailed engineering drawings. • Strong understanding of BS5839 Part 1 and Part 6, BSEN15004 and knowledge of LPS1204 and the Bafe schemes. • Experience with hydraulic calculations and fire suppression system design is an advantage. • Knowledge of fire alarm systems from major manufacturers such as Notifier, Kentec, Gent and Advanced Electronics. • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook). • Valid driving license.
