📋 Description

• Collaborate with the Claims/Special Investigation Unit (SIU) to combat fraudulent claims in No-Fault and other cases • Research, prepare, file, and litigate fraud cases, including RICO and other affirmative actions • Develop litigation strategies and negotiate complex matters • Review case files and plan resolutions • Draft discovery requests, motions, memorandums, and legal briefs • Prepare for and conduct depositions and examinations under oath (EUOs) • Attend arbitrations, mediations, trials, and work with expert witnesses • Represent the company in court appearances (conferences, hearings) in State and Federal courts • Draft pre-trial and post-trial motions • Negotiate settlements and prepare related documentation

🎯 Requirements

• Juris Doctorate and active membership in good standing with the New York State Bar • Federal Court Admission required upon selection for this role • 7 or more years of experience • Federal Court experience • Ability to manage complex litigation • Strong research and writing skills • Proficient with Microsoft Office and related computer applications • Exercises discretion and maintains confidentiality • Demonstrates ethics and integrity • Insurance industry experience • Knowledge of legal holds and discovery processes
