• Mechanical tooling design: Development of specialized tools for the production and maintenance of railway equipment. • Feasibility studies: Based on technical specifications, propose designs that meet technical, economic, safety, and ergonomic requirements using a Design-to-Cost approach. • Assembly and installation drawings: Preparation of technical documents for manufacturing and integration. • Technology watch and continuous improvement: Enhance tooling designs and capitalize on EHS, safety, and ergonomic requirements encountered to ensure systematic application by teams for each new tool. • Supervision and coaching of a team of designers/drafters and development of their skills.
🎯 Requirements
• Degree in industrial engineering or equivalent in mechanical engineering; • Experience: minimum 3 years in the automotive or rail sector; experience in tooling design is required; • Proficiency with design tools: experience with CAD software, notably CATIA V5; • Industrial drafting skills: ability to produce precise technical drawings compliant with standards; • Mechanical knowledge: strong fundamentals in mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering (productique), strength of materials, machinery directive, and design of welded mechanical parts; • Technical English: good understanding and use in a professional context; • Proven experience in manufacturing tooling design (aerospace, rail, automotive), taking into account working environments and operator/welder constraints.
