• Provide broad-based legal support to Amgen SEA’s commercial, medical, value, access and pricing (VA&P), Compliance and other business functions, including providing advice to country leadership teams • Assist to deliver a legal support model in SEA that is results-oriented, fully aligned with the goals and priorities of the business • Take a broad approach to managing legal risk at the affiliate • Facilitate day-to-day contracting and routine matters through implementation of templates, training programs and guidance • Deliver targeted legal advice as required • Monitor the external environment and ensure that Amgen’s legal risks are proactively managed • Report to the SEA Head of Law in Hong Kong and join a JAPAC regional Law Group of 8 other lawyers based in Hong Kong, Shanghai, Sydney, Taipei and Tokyo
• Law degree from recognized university law faculty and qualified to practice law in a common law jurisdiction • 6+ years of practice at a top law firm, corporate law department, or a combination of both • Fluency in English required • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Contract drafting skills and knowledge of general commercial law, labor law and dispute resolution • Strong interpersonal skills, judgment, maturity and flexibility • Strategic thinker and creative problem-solver who is committed to ensuring the company’s success in a complaint manner • Ability to manage competing priorities and provide high level of services across multiple stakeholders • Ability to operate both independently and as part of a larger in-house legal team
