📋 Description

• Assist clients in transitioning to cloud-based accounting platforms • Handle day-to-day accounting transactions for complex clients, including bill pay, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll preparation • Complete monthly bank reconciliations • Prepare monthly journal entries and close the general ledger • Maintain fixed asset schedules and chart of accounts • Provide timely, accurate, and complete client financial-condition reports and analyze results • Maintain an orderly accounting system and controls over accounting transactions • Offer financial advice and solutions to clients • Contribute to evolving policies, procedures, technology, and client experience • Prepare client sales tax returns, year-end 1099 returns, and property tax declarations • Represent the firm with clients, vendors, business partners, and other Anders service lines • Ensure compliance while meeting client goals • Comply with local, state, and federal reporting requirements • Improve reconciliation and accounting processes by diagnosing variance root causes, strengthening workflows and controls, and ensuring timely financial reporting

🎯 Requirements

• Ability to work independently with expanding duties and responsibilities • Excellent client service skills and ability to interact with all levels of management • Openness to new technologies and processes • Critical thinking through accounting and process issues • Ability to identify root causes, resolve reconciliation challenges, and implement sustainable solutions • Strong organizational and time management skills • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously • Strong communication skills • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting • 2–4 years of related experience • CPA or working towards CPA • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications • Advanced QuickBooks or QuickBooks Online experience • Proficient with MS Excel, Word, and Outlook • Familiarity with cloud-based software applications • Experience with other general ledger packages is a plus • Authorized to work in the United States now and in the future without sponsorship
