📋 Description

• Develop innovative predictive models and analytical tools to improve profitability, growth, and operational efficiency • Support predictive modeling needs across a growing portfolio of advanced analytics projects with the Strategic Analytics team • Collaborate with experienced modelers to build predictive models and analytic solutions using Python or R • Manipulate and query data using R and SQL Server; develop advanced ad hoc queries for data investigation • Develop Python or R functions and SQL stored procedures to automate recurring tasks • Create and maintain documentation associated with models • Assist in implementation and testing of models • Develop Power BI dashboards to support analyses and enable model usage • Monitor the performance and usage of models • Play a role in advancing predictive modeling capabilities to enable better decision-making at Arch

🎯 Requirements

• At least 3 years’ predictive modeling experience in a professional setting, using tools such as Python, R or SQL • Experience with predictive modeling techniques (GLM, GAM, decision trees) • Proficiency in Python or R • Experience manipulating data using R or SQL Server and developing advanced ad hoc queries • Ability to develop Python or R functions and SQL stored procedures to automate tasks • Experience developing dashboards in Power BI • Ability to monitor model performance and usage • Detail oriented with strong organizational skills • Excellent critical thinking skills • Comfortable working in a fast paced and highly collaborative global team • Ability to effectively communicate technical topics to different target audiences • BS in Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science, Data Analytics, Computer Science, or equivalent • Insurance industry experience preferred
