• Speak to customers and provide advice on new products and renewals • Manage own SME and mid corporate client portfolio to deliver renewal income in line with strategic objectives • Generate new business income through client referrals, introducer relationships, and other business development initiatives • Deliver additional revenue growth through client referrals to other health sales teams • Operate in accordance with the company’s sales quality standards and deliver high quality customer outcomes • Work closely with line manager and team to develop the customer proposition for SME customers • Effectively manage relationships with providers to deliver high quality outcomes for clients and the business • Negotiate with the holding insurer and alternative insurers to obtain good value outcomes for customers • Maximise business and service opportunities from all contacts to meet commercial targets
• Experience within the financial services market (essential) • Private medical insurance experience (essential) • Knowledge of group risk products (essential) • Experience in relationship building with insurers/providers, clients and account managers • Minimum of Cert CII or willingness to study towards qualification • A proven ability to negotiate successfully on behalf of customers to deliver new business and renewal targets • Strong numeracy and literacy skills • Effective verbal and written communication skills • Strong, personable telephone manner • Professional, customer focused approach internally and externally when dealing with colleagues and distribution partners • Well organised and able to respond well under pressure and meeting deadlines • Ability to work as part of a team and using own initiative • Ability to cope well with internal and external change • Successful completion of pre-employment checks (employment, address, credit history and standard criminal record check)
