📋 Description

• Carry out product information services, including formulation, regulatory adaptations, specification/pack copy review, artwork review, alignment, and branded product reviews for compliance • Provide risk-based, commercially competitive regulatory advice to Ashbury and its clients • Research and horizon scan for regulatory changes and developments • Review and advise on changes to client policies based on new regulations, guidance, and codes of practice • Manage customer complaints, including writing responses and managing escalated or serious complaints • Provide risk-based recommendations for complaints and enforcement challenges • Lead or support product recall and withdrawal processes • Liaise with government agencies, laboratories, and industry bodies including OPSS, FSA/FSAI, Primary Authorities, BRC, BSI, and ASA • Deliver regulatory and technical training to Ashbury and its clients • Develop relationships with client Technical/Regulatory decision makers and discuss regulatory matters • Attend client meetings regarding Regulatory affairs • Produce and present expert opinion content internally and externally • Keep up to date with legal requirements and labelling policies and disseminate information within the business • Maintain and grow expertise in relevant subject areas • Report to a Team Lead responsible for service delivery to one or more clients

🎯 Requirements

• Degree level educational qualification in product safety, consumer protection, consumer law or other relevant qualification or experience • In-depth regulatory knowledge in product safety, including codes of practice, policies, guidance, and standards • Excellent understanding of legal requirements, challenges and consumer trends relating to product information • Awareness of relevant changes in the regulatory environment due to new legislation, case law, codes of practice and guidance • Minimum 3 years of experience of working in a regulatory role within industry or trading standards/enforcement or in a related field • Fluent in spoken and written English • Demonstrable experience of independent working, managing your own workload and time management • Demonstrable risk-based decision making • Confident applying requirements to product information and communicating decisions to clients • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including IT and presentation skills • Ability to explain complex requirements in a simple way • Ability to risk assess a situation and provide a risk-appropriate solution • Ability to research and gather information using available resources • Ability to work against tight deadlines and maintain a high level of accuracy • Fluency in one or more other languages (desirable) • Understanding of retail and manufacturing, including the product launch process (desirable) • Awareness of client PLM (Product Lifetime Management) systems (desirable)
