📋 Description

• Own the architecture and technical direction for AI capabilities across HotDocs, including model management, LLM and agent orchestration, retrieval strategy, evaluation, cost, and latency management • Translate AI architecture into a pragmatic delivery roadmap • Take AI-powered features from prototype to production at enterprise scale using .NET Core and React • Lead the use of AI across engineering through coding assistants, agentic workflows, test generation, code review, and documentation • Define safe AI usage patterns and measure delivery impact • Establish evaluation harnesses, guardrails, observability, and AI governance practices • Modernize and refactor legacy code to support AI integration and improve scalability and reliability • Mentor engineers through code reviews, design reviews, pairing, brown-bag sessions, and written guidance • Partner with product management, architecture, security, and customer-facing teams on the AI roadmap and build-versus-buy decisions • Extend CI/CD pipelines for AI workloads, including prompt and model versioning, automated evaluation gates, monitoring, and cost tracking • Ensure AI features solve customer problems and provide responsive, transparent, accessible user experiences

🎯 Requirements

• 12 or more years of professional software development experience, including time in a principal, lead, or staff-level technical role • Strong skills in .NET Core (C#) and React (TypeScript) or similar SPA frameworks • Demonstrable experience designing and shipping production AI solutions, including LLM integration, prompt engineering, RAG, MCP, and agentic or tool-calling systems • Hands-on experience with cloud AI platforms and services such as Azure OpenAI / AI Foundry or equivalent • Experience with orchestration frameworks such as Semantic Kernel • Experience building and maintaining REST APIs • Proficiency with Entity Framework and Azure SQL or SQL Server • Experience evaluating and improving AI system quality using test sets, benchmarking, human review loops, and non-deterministic behavior handling • Understanding of web applications and AI-specific security, including secure coding, prompt injection, and sensitive customer data handling • Experience using Git and modern collaboration workflows such as pull requests and branching strategies • Experience with CI/CD pipelines such as Azure DevOps • Comfort working in agile teams using Jira and Confluence • Practical experience using AI tooling within the SDLC and adopting it across a team • Track record of technical leadership, mentoring senior engineers, leading design reviews, and influencing roadmap and architecture decisions
