📋 Description

• Highway Design Engineer will provide technical design expertise, mentoring to junior staff, and support to project teams delivering highway design packages. • Experience with the Ministry of Transportation Ontario (MTO) highway design is required, as well as understanding of utilities, regulatory agencies, and other highway stakeholders. • Carry out highway designs under the direction of a Project Manager and Senior Engineers. • Mentoring and guiding junior staff to produce milestone deliverables to meet MTO requirements. • Liaise with other internal disciplines and external parties including government agencies and utility operators as required. • Be a collaborative member of the design team, focused on completing designs on schedule to meet client requirements. • Follow all quality system standards and procedures. • Following all applicable standards, codes and regulations. • Embrace and actively support behaviour-based workplace health and safety policies.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering. • Registered as a Professional Engineer (P. Eng) in Ontario. • Minimum of 5-7 years’ experience working on MTO planning and design projects. • Highway engineering knowledge and skills. • Solid understanding of MTO design guidelines and standards. • Computer Skills - MS Office, AutoCAD, OpenRoads, and other relevant industry-standard tools. • Valid driver’s license and have a reliable vehicle.
