📋 Description

• Define and maintain application architecture roadmaps aligned with business strategy, digital transformation objectives, and target-state architecture • Lead the design of scalable, secure, resilient, and maintainable application solutions across cloud-native, SaaS, bespoke, and legacy technology landscapes • Establish application integration, API, event-driven, and microservices architecture standards and best practices • Provide architecture governance, design assurance, risk management, and technical leadership across major transformation programmes • Build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders, customers, delivery teams, and suppliers • Mentor architects and technical specialists • Work across application modernisation, cloud transformation, platform engineering, and enterprise integration initiatives • Ensure technology investments deliver measurable business value while maintaining security, resilience, and regulatory compliance

🎯 Requirements

• Significant experience in Application Architecture, Solution Architecture, Software Engineering, or Enterprise Architecture leadership roles • Proven experience delivering enterprise-scale applications, digital services, and transformation programmes within Financial Services, Banking, Insurance, Payments, or similarly regulated sectors • Strong expertise in API management, integration platforms, event-driven architectures, distributed systems, and microservices • Experience with cloud-native architectures and modern platforms including Microsoft Azure and/or AWS • Exceptional stakeholder management, governance, risk management, and architecture assurance capabilities • TOGAF certification and experience applying enterprise architecture frameworks • Knowledge of DevSecOps, CI/CD, application security, observability, and modern engineering practices • Candidates must be eligible to obtain and maintain SC clearance • UK-based • National mobility required
