📋 Description

• Maintain and advance legal frameworks and policies aligned with corporate strategy. • Translate complex legal and regulatory issues into practical guidance for cross-functional teams. • Advise management and coworkers on corporate governance, risk management, finance, banking, branding, vendor contracting, real estate, intellectual property, information technology, employment, and dealer regulations. • Provide legal support to marketing, communications, finance, privacy, risk management, and accounting. • Negotiate, analyze, draft, review, and manage commercial contracts and agreements. • Support negotiations with vendors, landlords, affiliates, and governmental entities. • Manage independent contractor processes. • Manage, protect, maintain, and defend intellectual property. • Identify legal risks and recommend proactive mitigation solutions. • Support due diligence on expansion, partnerships, and strategic investments. • Research legal developments in consumer products and services, data privacy, cybersecurity, and employment law. • Identify and manage legal and regulatory risk across product areas and provide actionable business guidance. • Ensure compliance with trade regulations, sanctions, and other limitations. • Counsel employees and contractors regarding customer complaints. • Research and respond to escalated customer and regulatory complaints. • Litigate and arbitrate matters when economically prudent. • Retain, manage, and direct outside counsel and third-party consultants for litigation. • Obtain and maintain state and federal licensing. • Form new entities, maintain current entities, and draft operating agreements and resolutions. • Advise on employment law and human resources matters. • Support employee benefits programs and investigate policy non-compliance. • Conduct legal research and analysis and prepare written opinions and guidance for management. • Support leasing and real estate matters. • Manage other assigned tasks.

🎯 Requirements

• J.D. from an accredited law school. • Current admission to a state bar. • Willingness to become licensed in another state if needed. • Five years plus experience as a licensed attorney. • Preferably at least two years of in-house experience. • Extensive experience with international offices, clients, employees, and entities. • Preferably prior experience supporting a global entity. • Pragmatic judgment and strong personal credibility. • Ability to articulate legal positions or strategies quickly and concisely. • Ability to build consensus within a multinational organization. • Strong interpersonal, analytical, written, and verbal communication skills. • Ability to build positive relationships and partnerships across the organization. • Willingness to perform administrative, paralegal, and secretarial work. • Ability to analyze complex issues and reach quick resolutions. • Strong prioritization and sense of urgency; ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines. • Ability to recognize and weigh business and legal risks, lead strategically, and advance innovative solutions. • Understanding of handling and protecting confidential and sensitive information. • Comfort working in a multicultural environment. • Self-motivated and able to work independently. • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
