📋 Description

• This is a remote position. • We are looking for professional remote interpreters fluent in Romanian and English who want to join an international company and support clear communication across cultures. • As an Over-the-Phone Interpreter (OPI) / Video Remote Interpreter (VRI), you will provide accurate and professional interpretation between Romanian and English speakers across different industries, with a primary focus on healthcare and medical interpretation. • You will ensure accuracy, neutrality, and professionalism in every conversation.

🎯 Requirements

• Native fluency in Romanian and fluent in English. • Minimum of 1 year of professional OPI or VRI experience with a recognized interpretation provider. • Strong knowledge of medical terminology; awareness of legal terminology is a plus. • International healthcare interpretation certifications (PICSI, ALTA, HIPAA, etc.) are an advantage. • High school diploma in your native language. • High emotional intelligence and ability to work with diverse cultures. • Strong communication, listening, note-taking, and memory retention skills. • Answer calls professionally, following the interpreter’s code of conduct. • Take accurate notes during calls to ensure message integrity. • Use industry-specific terminology, especially in healthcare and medical fields. • Render all messages completely and accurately—without adding, omitting, or substituting. • Provide excellent customer service and maintain confidentiality. • Facilitate communication between Limited English Proficient speakers and clients. • Participate in internal professional training sessions. • Be open to obtaining new professional certifications. • Communicate and report regularly to your team leader. • Follow dress code requirements for video remote interpreting.
