📋 Description

• As a Field Service Engineer, you will ensure routine and short-notice technical services at our customers' sites. • This includes installation, upgrades, repairs, and preventive maintenance of Azenta systems and instruments. • Troubleshoot customer issues and ensure compliance with our service agreements at individual customer locations/regions in Germany or elsewhere in Europe. • Perform maintenance on equipment and systems, including software and hardware installation, upgrades, diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance. • Analyze problems, investigate and report root causes/corrective actions, and monitor system performance. • Provide operational support for customer-managed samples. • Communicate and collaborate with global teams when handling tasks. • Prepare and submit reports, such as service and status reports.

🎯 Requirements

• Completed vocational training (or Bachelor's degree) in an engineering discipline or a related field. • Practical experience in the maintenance or construction of electrical installations and machinery/automation systems. • Good knowledge of electrical and mechanical safety. • Fluent German and English skills, both written and spoken. • Experience in identifying causes of system failures/troubleshooting using structured and comprehensive procedures. • Valid driver's license (car). • Proficient with PCs and Windows/DOS-based operating systems. • Willingness to travel frequently domestically and internationally, including short-notice travel and occasional weekend or holiday work. • Flexibility to take on on-call duties for (remote) troubleshooting.
