📋 Description

• Perform hydraulic and hydrology (H&H) analyses and design for transportation projects • Prepare drainage reports in conformance with client and industry standards • Assist with plan production related to drainage design, stormwater management, detention facilities, water quality/MS4, quantities, and specifications • Contribute to project goals and milestones, and monitor project progress • Assist in preparing hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, studies, reports, construction drawings/plans, specifications, and cost estimates for stormwater design and planning projects • Ensure the development of high-quality engineering documents • Adhere to internal procedures for quality control, documentation, and project tracking • Assist with project pursuits • Supplement the design efforts of the civil-rail and structural-rail design group • Collaborate within a team delivering water resource projects supporting railroad transportation projects nationwide

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or related discipline required • 12–16 years of transportation drainage experience • PE License preferred • Experience with hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, especially the rational method and TR-55 design methodologies • Experience with plan production software, including AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or MicroStation/OpenRoads • Experience with HY-8, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, EPA SWMM, StormCAD, CivilStorm, WMS, SMS/SRH-2D, FHWA Hydraulic Toolbox, CUHP, FLO-2D, and Mile High Flood District spreadsheet tools • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Track record of adhering to design budgets and schedules • Ability to work effectively in a team environment • Ability to prioritize, work on, and advance multiple projects simultaneously • Thorough understanding of state, regional, and special district design standards • Experience developing stormwater management plans and water quality design/MS4 • Experience with plan production related to transportation projects • Experience developing deliverables per DOT standards and requirements • Desire to learn and strengthen skills
