📋 Description

• Embed with client teams to understand how work happens by shadowing operators and mapping processes across people, spreadsheets, and disconnected tools • Break complex business processes into agentic workflows, defining automation boundaries, human-in-the-loop steps, tool use, and decision logic • Build production-grade workflows with LangGraph and LangChain, including tool calling, memory, routing, retries, and failure recovery • Integrate CRMs, ERPs, ticketing systems, data warehouses, internal APIs, and document stores • Enable reusable platform capabilities including document retrieval, structured output, function calling, prompt versioning, logging, and observability • Design enterprise evaluation and guardrails, including task-specific evaluations, regression checks, PII handling, and human review • Run working sessions and demos, translating technical tradeoffs into decisions about cost, risk, and timeline • Document and hand over workflows so client teams can operate and extend them • Bring reusable patterns back to Blue Orange Digital for future engagements

🎯 Requirements

• 3 or more years of software engineering experience building systems that run in production • Hands-on experience building with LLMs: prompting, function calling, structured output, retrieval, and at least one agent or multi-step workflow taken past the prototype stage • Experience connecting real systems through REST APIs, webhooks, SDKs, and databases, including auth, pagination, rate limits, and flaky upstreams • Proficiency in Python and comfort with async patterns, API design, and data-pipeline reliability • Working knowledge of SQL and data systems • Real client-facing or cross-functional experience with non-technical stakeholders • Strong written and verbal communication • Production experience with agent frameworks such as LangGraph, AutoGen, or CrewAI, or custom orchestration • Experience with RAG systems, including chunking, embeddings, vector stores, and re-ranking • Familiarity with LLM evaluation, task-specific metrics, LLM-as-judge, and regression test suites (preferred) • Background in process mapping, solutions engineering, forward-deployed work, or technical consulting (preferred) • Experience with workflow and integration platforms such as Temporal, Airflow, Zapier, n8n, or iPaaS tooling (preferred) • Exposure to AWS Bedrock/SageMaker, GCP Vertex AI, or Azure ML (preferred) • Resume and all application materials must be submitted in English • Background checks may be required for certain positions/projects
