📋 Description

• Inspect, maintain, test and repair operational solar PV systems • Perform preventative maintenance according to annual maintenance plans • Undertake corrective maintenance and fault rectification • Diagnose and resolve system performance issues and equipment faults • Support installation and commissioning of new solar PV and wind energy systems • Maintain accurate electrical testing records and audit-ready maintenance documentation • Report site activities and maintenance outcomes through CMMS and reporting systems • Notify management of operational issues, risks and concerns • Supervise and coordinate third-party contractors on site • Ensure contractors comply with site procedures and health and safety requirements • Plan and coordinate maintenance activities to minimise operational downtime • Conduct dynamic risk assessments and report hazards, unsafe conditions and near misses • Comply with safety, environmental, biosecurity, confined-space and other specialist procedures • Maintain confidentiality and data security in accordance with GDPR • Complete administrative and reporting requirements accurately and on time

🎯 Requirements

• Relevant qualification in Electrical, Mechanical or Engineering discipline • City & Guilds 18th Edition (or equivalent BS7671 Wiring Regulations qualification) • City & Guilds 2399-13 Solar PV Installation (or equivalent) • City & Guilds 2399-14 Solar PV Maintenance (or equivalent) • Advanced Apprenticeship in Electrical Installation • AP15 / OP40 Certification • City & Guilds 2391-52 Inspection & Testing (or equivalent) • Minimum three years' experience in Solar PV Operations & Maintenance on utility-scale sites • Experience in network diagnostics and remote communications systems • Experience carrying out LV/HV planned preventative maintenance • G59/G99 competency • Strong understanding of earthing systems, testing and protection relays • Experience with central and string inverters, supported by relevant manufacturer training • Excellent fault-finding and diagnostic skills • Strong IT skills including Microsoft Office applications, CMMS and reporting software • Good understanding of power electronics, power generation equipment and associated technologies • Knowledge of CCTV systems and related infrastructure • Full UK driving licence is essential • Ability to work safely in accordance with company procedures, risk assessments, legislation and industry standards
