📋 Description

• Provide administrative support to the Development Department while learning and performing core fundraising processes and tasks • Create and update Salesforce records to capture donor interactions and opportunities and maintain donor data integrity • Take comprehensive meeting notes using AI or other tools and manage follow-up actions • Manage appointments and schedules using Google Calendar • Track and create stewardship reports for corporate and foundation donors • Backstop Development Team interactions with the Finance Department • Use Google Suite and Google Drive to create, edit, and save Docs, Sheets, and Slides • Use Hive to manage tasks and collaborate with colleagues and teams • Design donor reports using Canva • Conduct fundraising research, prospecting, grant writing, donor cultivation, and stewardship • Support special-event planning, particularly invitation-list maintenance • Draft emails, memos, flyers, letters of intent, proposals, and reports • Research private and public funding prospects • Maintain the department meeting calendar and agenda • Provide updates at department meetings • Perform other duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• 2-4 years of related sales or fundraising experience • Bachelor's degree in marketing, social work, English, communications, management, public relations, or commensurate experience • Experience managing administrative tasks, including record management, note-taking, and scheduling • Proficiency in Google Suite, Canva, Salesforce, and Hive, or ability to quickly learn and master these tools • Strong research skills • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Excellent attention to detail • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to varied tasks and challenges in a fast-paced environment • Ability to work and communicate effectively with people from different backgrounds and foster collegial teamwork • Experience working in a virtual environment • Ability to travel overnight several times per year for staff offsites, planning retreats, and company-wide events; participation is required • May be required to work nights, weekends, and holidays as necessary • Familiarity with the military community (desired) • Familiarity with membership-driven organizations (desired)
