📋 Description

• Review manufacturers' technical documentation and clinical evaluation reports • Assess whether clinical evidence supporting medical devices is sufficient in quality and quantity • Contribute clinical expertise to medical device conformity assessments • Evaluate equivalence rationales and risk assessments • Assess clinical claims, indications, contraindications, user information and warnings • Evaluate endpoints, follow-up and clinical evaluation data • Evaluate post-market surveillance and post-market clinical follow-up activities • Coordinate and allocate work to qualified medical experts across clinical disciplines • Review incoming applications and assign them to appropriate medical expertise • Mentor BSI technical/clinical staff and external clinical experts • Develop internal best-practice guides for clinical evaluation and data requirements • Support the commercial/Marketing team when required • Provide internal and external training • Appoint external experts for novel technologies

🎯 Requirements

• General Practitioner, Family Doctor or Intensivist • Experienced clinician who has worked with a variety of medical devices • Competency with a range of devices and their indications for use • Experience analysing clinical data • Good knowledge of clinical investigations • Medical expertise in a relevant clinical specialism • Ability to work with manufacturers’ technical documentation and clinical evaluation reports • Ability to assess clinical evidence quality and quantity • Ability to evaluate post-market surveillance and post-market clinical follow-up activities
