• Curate stories/articles from community partners and other sources to develop content to be used in traditional and digital outreach channels • Write press releases for events, announcements and policy responses to press • Support the marketing and communications staff in creating digital and printed collateral • Assist with special events including planning and execution of the event • Assist with any photography or video needs • Update social media sites including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram & Threads. • Develop and maintain press lists for local and state media • Any other duties as assigned by Marketing Communication Manager
• Candidates must be accepted into their major program of study • Master’s level candidates are welcome to apply • Intern should have experience in public relations or a related field with at least entry-level skills in graphic design, photography, written and oral communication. • Ability to recognize and tailor information to different stakeholders.
• Gain experience in executing marketing and communication campaigns in a non-profit organization • Create materials that can be included in a professional portfolio, specifically focusing on press releases, policy responses, digital and printed collateral • Exposure to community leaders and businesses • Increase knowledge of the Clark County non-profit sector.
